Elephants have inhabited East Nepal since the dawn of time. Yet, in recent times, they have been in conflict with another of nature’s inhabitants: humans. The clash has brought suffering to both sides, with casualties rising every day. Amid the turmoil, one figure stands out as a guiding force: Shankar Chettri Luitel, who has been working for the past twenty-five years to mitigate the conflict.

This short film is a portrait of Rupak, who has dedicated his life to caring for abandoned dogs. On foot, he carries almost 70 kg of chicken bones every day. He feeds street dogs that have become his only family, almost replacing his estranged one.
